WMMA from the Archive: 24 Hours with Miesha Tate as she prepares for her fight with Zoila Frausto
I had watched WMMA many times before but Miesha Tate was the first female fighter I actively followed. I remember the broadcast of the Tate vs Zoila fight was on a 1 week delay here in Australia. I didn’t really know about MMA torrent sites so I stayed away from results until I was able to watch the fight at 2am on Saturday Morning. Awww the memories. @pegson

**Pegson’s Dribble and Some Raw Pork Chops**
It’s time for me to irrationally rant out loud.
Two Strikeforce/Zuffa Female Bantamweights (Kaufman & Nunes) are booked to fight in April at Invicta FC 5, less than a month and a half after UFC 157: Rousey vs Carmouche takes place. We were led to believe UFC 157 was suppose to signify the start of WMMA in the UFC.. I guess not!!
This IMO is the first signs that WMMA in the UFC has already been Pencilled in simply as the Strikeforce Division but transplanted into the UFC,. Also according to giving away fighters like Kaufman and Nunes maybe we are looking at something less than a transplanted Strikeforce Division.
So every bastard like myself who was hoping for a steady 1 WMMA fight per UFC or even 1 WMMA fight every other UFC… Looks like we are going back to the days of obsessing over a matchup for 3 months because with 6 to 8 fighters making up the UFC Women’s Division that is how often we will see WMMA fights in the UFC.
My cure for this.. is to eat raw pork chop and hope that the bacteria eats away the part of your brain that makes you give a CRAP.. That way we can all be happy watching ‘Weird Goat Compilations’ over and over and over again on YouTube » http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqgGlgonEa4

Interesting Ronda Rousey TV ratings on SHOWTIME FACTS
Strikeforce: Rousey v Kaufman had a total disclosed payroll of $368,000 compared to $1,153,500 for the Final Strikeforce: Marquardt vs. Saffiedine.
Yet the Strikefore: Rousey vs. Kaufman event drew a 41% better overall rating. This is even further highlighted by the fact that the Rousey vs. Kaufman main event only lasted 54 seconds compared to Marquardt vs. Saffiedine which went the entire 25 minutes.
As a general rule, the longer the main event, the better the rating will be due to more time to build the audience.
